Fostering Collaboration: Our Germany Team's Productive Visit to Istanbul

In early September, our Turkey network had the pleasure of hosting our Germany team in Istanbul for an event-packed week of collaboration, client visits, and strategy discussions. The week was filled with valuable exchanges, as we met with multiple clients and partners, including key players in Agile coaching and SAP solutions. These engagements led to significant insights and actionable outcomes that will continue to drive the success of our collective initiatives.

One of the highlights of the visit was a series of in-depth meetings with one of our long-term partners, a prominent company that has been using SAP S/4HANA for over six years. Despite being live on the system for such an extended period, they continue to face challenges in maximizing its efficiency—an issue that many companies encounter post-implementation.


Key Challenges Observed


The absence of a centralized Project Management Office (PMO), along with critical project management structures, such as:


  • Project Scope Monitoring: Ensuring that project deliverables align with the original plan.

  • Steering Committees (SteerCo): Regular, high-level reviews of project progress.

  • Change Management: Strategies to adapt processes and systems efficiently.

  • Status Tracking and Follow-up Mechanisms: Monitoring the ongoing status and progress of the project.


In addition to these structural gaps, they are also facing difficulties with the full integration of some of their critical business processes. This has significantly impacted on their daily activities resulting in cumbersome manual uploads and inefficiencies that burden their finance department.
